Great BBQ Recipes for Your Crock-Pot

In fact, all you need is a Crock-Pot® or another slow cooker. Try these BBQ recipes for your Crock-Pot to make quick, simple and tasty meals the whole family will love.

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

You can never go wrong with a pulled pork sandwich. The delicious flavors and textures are always a crowd favorite. These sandwiches make a great everyday meal, but they’re also perfect for holidays and special events. Follow along for a basic recipe of a traditional pulled pork sandwich.

Ingredients:

BBQ recipes for your Crock-Pot pulled

• Boneless pork shoulder (a 3-pound roast has about eight servings)
• Barbeque sauce
• Salt
• Pepper
• Cider vinegar
• Liquid smoke (optional)
• Sandwich rolls or buns

Directions:

  1. Place the pork in your slow cooker
  2. Coat all sides with the vinegar
  3. Add salt and pepper
  4. Put the lid on
  5. Cook for 10 to 12 hours on low
  6. Drain juices
  7. Use two forks to shred and pull apart the pork
  8. Put it back in the slow cooker
  9. Cover with barbeque sauce
  10. Cook for an additional 30 minutes

After it’s done cooking, serve the pork on a roll or bun. And, for more flavors, add pickles or other toppings of your choice. We recommend serving pulled pork with mac n’ cheese or cornbread.

BBQ Chicken

If you prefer chicken over pork, here’s a recipe for you. It tastes especially delicious with some baked beans and greens on the side. Plus, using a slow cooker allows you to relax and run errands during the day.

• Boneless chicken breast (4 – 6 pieces)
• Barbeque sauce
• ¼ cup distilled white vinegar
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Place the chicken breast in your slow cooker
  2. Combine the ingredients and pour onto the chicken
  3. Put the lid on
  4. Cook for 4 to 6 hours on low

Ingredients:

• 2 pounds of baby back pork ribs (cut into halves or thirds)
• ½ onion (sliced)
• ½ bottle of barbeque sauce
• Salt
• Pepper
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• 2 cloves garlic (minced)
• ½ cup water

Directions:

  1. Put onion into the slow cooker
  2. Add ribs
  3. Add spices
  4. Pour in the barbeque sauce and water
  5. Cook for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on medium

Before you know it, you’ll have some great-tasting ribs. Serve them to the whole family and be sure to save the leftovers for later.
