Favorite Places to Throw a Party in Edgewater

Mayo Beach

Mayo Beach Park sits at the end of the South River and the Chesapeake Bay. The rustic and environmentally sensitive park is available for nonprofit organizations, weddings, receptions, cultural exhibits, company picnics and family reunions. Further, the park features a Bay View Pavilion, a glass-enclosed pavilion with amazing views that seats 225 people. Also, on most Sundays from Memorial Day until Labor Day, there are public open days available for free.

Sandy Point State Park offers swimming, fishing, and boating on the shores of the Chesapeake. And, although the park is not located in Edgewater, it is certainly one of our favorite places to visit and cater. This 786-acre park also features a large beach, boat ramps, marina and a great view of the Bay Bridge. And, as a bonus, you can bring your pets during particular seasons throughout the year.
If you would like to host an event, such as family reunions and group picnics, a private outdoor picnic experience is available. Sandy Point has twelve rental shelters; nine shelters accommodate up to 140 people, and one shelter accommodates up to 300 people. The accommodations also include picnic tables, grills, and limited electrical receptacles.
